What is Jicable'07 ?

JICABLE'07 is an international forum for the exchange of information in the fields of research, industrial development, installation, operation and diagnosis relating to insulated power cables and their accessories from low voltage up to extra high voltage cables, special cables and cables of new technologies.

Why is Jicable'07 important ?

Insulated power cables are increasingly used in electrical power transmission and distribution networks. This is due to the significant progress achieved in the development of new technologies with higher performances, and supported by increasing environmental pressure.

JICABLE'07 allowed in-depth analysis of the State-Of-The-Art and future perspectives: new materials, evolution in technologies, improvements in fabrication process, improvement of maintenance policies and remaining life estimation, lessons learned from service experience, dielectric phenomena, thermal and thermo-mechanical behavior…, new innovative technical solutions for high power transmission: new superconductive materials.

Who was attending Jicable'07 ?

As in past JICABLE conferences held in 1984, 1987, 1991, 1995, 1999 and 2003 (425 delegates from 39 countries), JICABLE'07 proved very useful to the following segments of the cable industry: researchers, engineers, decision-makers, raw materials suppliers, manufacturers, installers and users.

The following topics were  discussed:

1.   LV and MV Cables and Accessories

2.   HV and EHV Cables Systems

3.   DC Cables Systems

4.   Submarine Cables

5.   Cables for the Future

6.   Industrial and Special Cables

7.   Cables and the Environment

8.   Design

9.   Testing Methods

10. Ageing, Diagnosis, Maintenance, Remaining Life Estimation
