Message from the Chairman of the Organisation Committee
 Twenty three years after its first meeting, the 7th JICABLE Conference will take place in Versailles from 24 to 28 June 2007. A total of 175 reports from 25 countries will be presented.
The accelerating pace of developments in the field of insulated power cables is demonstrated both by the number of papers proposed and the high quality of the innovative advances that they described. The International Scientific Committee, under the chairmanship of Kenneth BARBER from Australia, commented on the excellent quality of the programme, considered to be among the best ever seen at JICABLE.
Another aspect which I wish to strengthen is the quality of the commercial exhibition organized in conjunction with the conference. Within the framework of the conference, the following other activities have been planned: tutorials, technical visits, audiovisual technical presentations,…
An attractive social activities programme will be also one of the emerging points of this week for conference delegates and accompanying persons. In particular, the JICABLE « Soirée » will be held in the « Gustave Eiffel » room on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower !
As Chairman of the Organisation Committee, it is a great honour for me to strongly invite all of you to participate in the 7th JICABLE Conference which promises to be a great success.
